Lovely people, happy place and really really good breakfast!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also = the best reuben in the county!!!!!!
Good food, great service, friendly staff and owner/cook
Went for lunch. Home cooked meal. Don't be in a rush. We watched as the owner, John made our plate (huge!) of Cole slaw. We left so full that we couldn't eat dinner! My hamburger was on a Kaiser roll that was like old times. You cannot get a good hard roll these days but obviously John found a great bakery! Being at The Big Tomato is like watching a tv series from the 70's. They all know each other, where the locals dine!
Good food and service.
Always great to eat at a good restaurant and save money.
Always great for breakfast at a great price!!
attentive service, expect to wait a bit for food but servings are plentiful and tasty
Home cooking.
Friendly staff and good made to order food
Nice old style (70's) look, comfy place. The food was good and the server was new, so a bit slow, but very nice. Prices are very fair. The only problem was that since it is a one-man-show at the griddle, our pancakes were late coming out (we finished our omelets before the pancakes arrived). The waitress said the cook does not want to cook the pancakes with other items so they don't taste like those other things, but people who came in and ordered after us were getting their food already! Sorry, but if you are in business this many years you should be able to present all food items together at the table timely. It was served late without any apology - not nice! Anyway, we will go back and give them another try. Many regulars stopped in and were greeted by first names, so they must be doing something right after all these years.
Old fashioned coffee shop. Great experience
Love this place. Honest food, good service. Friendly. Real throw back to the 60's or 70's kind of luncheonette. No attitude, no pretense.
Very friendly & helpful staff
The Big Tomato has the best egg sandwhich for breakfast. I like mine with sausage.
From the minute we walked in the door we were welcomed by a "serious about her job" 29 year veteran waitress. She gave us perfect detail about the menu including helping one of us decide what gluten free food was best. She knows her stuff ! The platters of food was plentiful and made to perfection. The home town feeling was amazing. That was lunch and we will go back for breakfast.

A little hole-in-the-wall. Simple old style diner , but w/ no juke boxes...- not made-up to be nostalgic old. Excellent food & prices. Hash browns & pancakes excellent. Friendly staff & clientele. Will definitely be back - with or without coupon.
