Good food and great service! A good show was performed by our chef.
Staff was so nice, food was so good, and everyone in the whole restaurant just seemed to be having a great time. Added to such a wonderful night.

The steak was over cooked. But the service and entertainment were great.
Ate at the sushi bar, not the tepanyaki grill. Sushi was pretty good, but tempura appetizer was awful. Not even tempura, really - food was covered in heavy, soggy batter. Service was friendly and efficient.
attentive wait staff
Staff was very friendly. The only thing that kept it from excellent was an infant and an older whiny brother (about 7 years old) seated at our table. The parents tried to control the situation but were rather ineffective. Even the chef tried to make Mr. Whiny happy, but the kid was having none of it.

The food and service was excellent. Unfortunately it was a night that two little girls were celebrating their (individual) birthday parties--and the increased noise. Initially I was worried that we would be seated next to them!
Great sushi even tried some new things
Excellent food and quality service (by the chef), but the prices are high and it took quite a time to get served. And they charged $5.00 for "Birthday", which must have been the balloon and piece of cheesecake for my daughter. I've never been charged for that by anyone else.
So pleased that on this visit, the Hibachi Chef was top rate. His skills with the meal preparation and interaction with those seated at his table were excellent!
Portions seem smaller. Table chef not as competent as others when dined here in the past. The table chefs are no longer all Japanese which could result in a less authentic experience. This has happened to similar Japanese restaurants elsewhere.

Always a great experience at Otani! Although our bill was over charged they quickly corrected it. Just make sure you are paying attention. Always great food and good fun!
Sonny was our chef and he made it a fun and delicious evening. The scallops and shrimp were done perfectly. Usually they get over done.
I love the owner is always present and friendly. Stop servers and bar staff are always friendly and efficient and the food is delicious. Always our first choice to dine at.

Very casual and fun, but low key also - the service is always good, the drinks are plentiful and the food is very good too - the 4:00 - 6:00 pm menu is nice because it is more finger type foods and you can sample a larger variety than when it gets to the dinner menu. Usually we try to arrive when we can enjoy the early menu and then take home dinner meals for later on.
The food was great. Our waiter Jason made it even more of a wonderful experience, we will make this a weekly spot.
This was by far the best Restaurant.com experience I have had. I was warmly greeted by several staff members upon entering the restaurant and was treated with impeccable service throughout my visit. The sushi was delicious and I look forward to sampling more of the menu on future visits. Would highly recommend to all!!
Took too long to get water. Took too long for the cooking to begin. The wait for dinner was too long.

The restaurant was out of several favorite items on the menu. By end of lunch (2 p.m.) they were also out of ice.We were disappointed when we couldn't get what we wanted, The service was great!

Charged for something not ordered, no tea bag with hot water, rolls hard and burned, fruit tasted like onions.
The traditional rolls were not available because a staff person messed up the order and did not order them. The rolls provided were below standard for Macy's and not acceptable.
