It was during lunch time and busy. Our server was very good and was taking care of the entire dining area on her own. She handled everything well and our orders were correct.
Reasonably priced good food. Sometimes the servers are not pleasant but mostly good service
everything was excellent. however, the biscuits are only good smothered in gravy. otherwise they are quite dry.
The place was packed it was a Sunday morning but they treated us properly and we got our food within 15 minutes and more than enough food we all took all my to go container for later.
Staff was wonderful and so was the food. Will definitely be going back soon.

We were served very fast. It took barely more time than receiving a fast food order, but the good was very good.
Good service at 1st. Then I had to wait until I got the attention of a waitress to get a second cup of coffee plus the the glass of water I wanted. But we realized they were terribly busy at the time. The food was very good and tasty.

Dependable neighbourhood diner fare comfort food.
Laverna's is off the beaten track and back in an industrial area, so not much is to be expected. I used to eat here once a week but it has really gone downhill. There was a bad garbage smell around the front door, the inside floors were tacky when stepped on and the back area where we ate, our table needed wiped down for a second time.

we've been in Tucson area for over 20 years & never knew about this little, friendly,'Mom & Pop' diner existed! It's just off the 'main drag'. Great food; great service; lots of it, too! Rosa: owner/cook is the best!

The morning servers are real pros. They have come to know us and anticipate what we need before we have to ask for anything in a really comfortable environment. The food is flavorful and abundant. What more can one ask for.
This is such a friendly, family oriented dining experience. They also cater to kids. I had by 5 yr and 9 yr grandsons with me.

Good food. Nice servers. They let you sit and talk. The only thing I'd change is specify on the coupon that drinks do not go toward your minimum amount to be spent. They do, though, let you get take out to go toward the total.

The food was great. The time it took to get served was long and they need more wait staff. The staff seemed overworked and very rushed. Even though they were short staffed the wait staff was very friendly in the very limited time they had to spend assisting you. Some of our needs went unmet due to time restaints on our part and the fact the wait staff was so short handed they were unable to accomidate us in a timely fashion. It is a great little hole in the wall place. The food is what you would expect of a down home country restaraunt. I would for sure return.

This restaurant has terrific pancakes! And they're huge! On weekends you can get them with pecans and apples, which is even better. The atmosphere is diner, and they are usually pretty busy because of their low prices and proximity to the U of A.

WE have been going to Laverna's for about 5 years. We enjoy the coziness of the atmosphere. The servers are awesome when it comes to making suggestions regarding your meal. I hope just and pray that one of those fancy franchies don't come and destroy another small business owner.
I had their "Special" that day---Eggs Benedict and it was superb...they used a real ham slice;the english muffin was nicely toasted, the eggs were poached perfectly and were very large and were still hot! So often the eggs will not be well-drained, or worse, have a residual vinegar flavor...but these were perfect! And the hollandaise (sp?)sauce was great!
