We dine at Ishy’s a few times a year (even without a certificate!) and always have a pleasant experience. The servers are attentive without being intrusive. The food is tasty.
The steak chimichanga and avocado BLT sandwich were both VERY good. The place was clean and service great. The locale is not glamorous, but inside is simple and nice.

We used a restaurant.com certificate for a late lunch when passing through Clayton. I ordered the fish n chips and my husband ordered the maple glazed chicken. Neither of us were impressed. The fish was heavily breaded, the slaw had little flavor, but my chips (fries) were actually very good. My husband also commented that most of his meal lacked flavor. The restaurant appeared clean and our waitress was very nice although not attentive. She and another employee spent most of the time at another table watching a show on the TV screen. Since the meal was discounted with our certificate, we did get our money's worth but would have been even more disappointed had we paid full price. Although we ate most of it, and we didn't leave hungry, this won't be a repeat restaurant for us.
Hamburger was great, French Fries tasted like they were reheated with new ones added.
One of my favorite things about Ishy's is that it's not too noisy. It was busy when we were there, but there's no loud background music that people have to talk over. Ishy's is our favorite unsung farm-to-table eatery. I haven't had anything there that I didn't enjoy tremendously. The steak-chicken fajitas I had were better than Mexican restaurants serve. The fish sandwich is always a great choice. The shrimp tempura salad is probably my favorite. The onion rings are to die for.

The food is delicious, fresh, and plentiful! Our server, Latoya, was friendly, efficient, and helpful. The Manager made sure everything was great--it always is! The cashier was pleasant and fast! Nothing could have been better!
Today was prime rib night. The steak was very delicious, loaded with marble trim around it. The food was exceptionally great tonight.
Excellent selection, great taste. Only problem was server never asked if we would like juice or toast.

Server, Dillon, was very attentive and very cordial. He kept coming back to make sure we had everything we needed and to check if everything was good. Food was delicious. Cashier, Aisha, was efficient and helpful. The above two employees were excellent!

Food is very good and creative. Service is good for the most part. We have been twice in the mid afternoon (slow time). Both times took 10 to 15 minutes from getting bill to getting credit card and bill back. Really a minor thing, but both times we found ourselves getting a little impatient to leave. Well worth the trip, great value, and look foward to trying some more of the kitchens unique take on food.

Waitress, Alicia (30) was so attentive, friendly. Salad fixings were fresh, soup was hot and the entrees were delicious.
We went on Sunday after church and the restaurant was packed. We waited for only a couple of minutes and a waitress, greeted us and told us she would have a table ready in a few minutes. She was busy, but she took the time to bus our table, get us seated, and made sure we were comfortable. Despite being very busy, every server had a smile on their face and seemed genuinely glad to be there.
We had the breakfast buffet and was very happy with the food.

Judy, our waitress, was friendly and attentive. The sandwiches were good and fresh. Servings were adequate. Omelet was good. (Breakfast is served all day.) Steak dinner was ok for $15. Salad bar was fresh and plentiful. Not fancy at all but eating area was clean. A choice of lunch bar, table or booth seating. Dinner buffet looked good but we did not try it. Parking free for cars. Convenient access from Rte. 206, NJTPK and Rte 295. Would try again for casual dining.
The servers are always pleasant and attentive. Today Mr. Ishy himself came to greet us.
